Many Lenses for a New View

By   December 24, 2015

GAR-testThis is a complicated picture. You are looking at a screen shot of a phone taken during our recent tests of the Guardian Angel Rover™. The phone, mounted on the rover, is aimed at the tortoise you see in the foreground. Inset in the lower right corner is the visage of Roy Haggard, our chief engineer and resident rocket scientist. Roy is driving the rover. In the background you see Tom Fowlkes, photographer for Audubon Magazine, capturing a historic moment: the first images of an animal taken from a vehicle controlled over the Internet and themselves fed over the Internet. This is a proof of concept. This is an image from the dawn of a new era in conservation biology.
